Used Bamboo Fly Rods

You have probably seen or used bamboo fly rods if you know a fly-fisherman or if you are a fly- fisherman.

Bamboo fly fishing rods were one of the first fly fishing rods used, and it is a tribute to their popularity that they are still being made today. Another reason why bamboo-made rods are still being used today is because the process of selecting, crafting and finishing one rod takes a long time and the quality it gives is unquestionable. The finish on bamboo fly rods should be durable and flexible and should withstand water damage. Going beyond the fact that it is a way to catch fish and also to enjoy the outdoors, fly fishermen think of what they do as an art, and rightly so. Of course, it was once generally agreed that the Earth was flat and we know how that one turned out.

Prices range according to the artist creating them, but you can expect to pay a minimum of a couple thousand dollars for one. I would imagine that I may be very displeased about this.
